Berkeley Math Confidence Tutor Serving Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, and the East Bay since 2012 I provide individualized math tutoring for middle and high school students who need more than homework help—they need to feel capable, confident, and ready to succeed With over 30 years of experience in education and counseling, I specialize in working with bright students who feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or anxious about math. My approach is both rigorous and encouraging. Sessions are thoughtfully paced so students fully grasp each concept before moving forward. Students learn how to understand concepts clearly, solve problems step by step, and rebuild confidence in their abilities. Many students fall behind simply because classroom instruction moves too quickly. I provide the structure, patience, and individualized attention needed for real understanding—without pressure or shame. Subjects include grades 5–8 math, Algebra, Geometry, Math 1, and Math 2.
